About the Club

Tetbury Badminton Club was founded in the 1930’s, originally playing at the White Hart Hotel (now the Snooty Fox) in Tetbury. In 1997 the club moved to the newly built Tetbury Leisure Centre, part of Sir William Romney’s school, where it grew into one of the larger clubs in the Cotswolds.

Unfortuntely, in 2019 the club was forced to move venue due to the closure of the leisure centre at Sir William Romney’s school. For a brief period, it moved to Katharine Lady Berkeley’s school near Wotton-under-Edge and then it moved to Westonbirt School Leisure Centre which is where we currently play.

We have a wide range of members from teenagers to 70-somethings but always welcome new members, so if you’re interested in coming along please Please switch on JavaScript to see our email address.

If you are looking for competitive badminton, we currently run two mens teams in different divisions of the Gloucestershire Mens league. We have had Ladies and Mixed teams in the past and would like to reinstate them when there is sufficient demand at the club.

If you’re interested in playing in a team just ask anyone at the club and they’ll point you in the direction of the team captains.
